This is the first volume of a pedagogical cycle consisting of three components, intended to address the fundamental skills required by cellists who choose to pursue a historically informed approach. Developed within the Historical Cello Class of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, this method is conceived by three of its instructors: Valentin Bajou, Pierre Beaubatie, and Marc Vanscheeuwijck.
